BUT SHE LEFT
And on that day, I heard her voice
I simple song of mourn and verse.
She sat by me, in gentle cause
I felt the time standing close.
I lived and loved, sometimes at dawn
The light would die, and I would go
To find my peace, to search, to roam
To reach for dreams I wouldn’t know
But always I, on my return
Will find her there as mute, as calm
In silent vows she stood and pause
Till I was more than just my bones
One long sad night while I spoke
She left my side, and I awoke.
I found her robe, her tattered song
She was away, she was no more
And I was free, no chains, no rope
She lied to me on forlorn ode
My raucous song, she cried she mourned
Cause I left her…. she left me not.
